Hi, I’m Alyssa, the artist behind File & Fable! I’m a licensed nail technician in Ohio (licensed February 2026), with a background in marketing, tattooing, and formal art education. Art has always been at the center of my work, and now I get to channel that passion into the exciting world of the beauty industry! With my tattooing background, I developed a strong understanding of how artwork flows naturally with the body. I bring that same intention into every set, designing nails that complement the natural lines of your hands while telling a story through color, detail, and texture. I specialize in hand-painted, intricate sets; the kind that feel like tiny paintings on ten miniature canvases. I love a challenge. I love layered designs. I love creating fun, wear-able art. There’s nothing I love more than watching a client light up when they see their finished set. Helping people feel confident, expressive, and a little magical is exactly why I’m here. Whether your style leans dark academia, whimsical fairytale, feminine and sparkly, or somewhere in between, I’m here for it! — File & Fable is currently a gel-only studio. At this time, I offer: • Gel polish services • Builder gel / BIAB • Gel-X extensions • Hard gel extensions While I am trained in acrylic and truly enjoy working with it, I am currently focusing exclusively on gel services. If that changes in the future, my service menu will be updated accordingly. — A Note on Timing & Pricing: As a newer nail tech, I am still refining my speed. I may take a bit longer than more seasoned technicians, and I truly appreciate your patience during this growth period. I never want to rush your set. My priority is that you leave loving your nails and with excellent retention. Because of this, my pricing is currently set lower than many established artists, reflecting both my experience level and my commitment to growth. You’re supporting a small business in its early chapters, and that means so much to me. I’m also currently taking models at an even steeper discount. Model sets allow me creative freedom while giving you a beautiful set at a reduced rate. It’s a win-win. — File & Fable is located inside Willow Loft & Spa 5151 Monroe Street, Suite 256 Toledo, Ohio 43623 I work in a private suite. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (3pm–7pm), I can often accommodate later appointments upon request; just reach out to confirm availability.

Cancellation Policy

I charge a 50% fee of your appointment total, for any same day cancellations and any cancellations not BEFORE 24 hours ahead of the scheduled appointment! No-shows the day of your appointment are also charged 50% of the service(s) you would have received that day. I charge my no-show fee at 30 minutes after your appointment time. You MUST cancel before the 24 hour window!!! There is a 15 minute grace period if you are running late for your appointment, but being late may result in a simpler design. If you are 20+ minutes late, I will charge a late fee of $15 or may even need to cancel/reschedule your appointment, depending on my schedule. I understand that situations come up, but this will be at my discretion; I cannot guarantee your service can be completed in the allotted time if you are late. Again, if you do not communicate with me at all and you no-call no-show, I will charge 50% of your scheduled service(s) at the 30 minute mark. ANY NO-CALL NO-SHOWS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOOK WITH ME AGAIN! ° OTHER POLICIES: ° • A non-refundable deposit of $15 is required to secure your first appointment. That $15 will go towards the service you booked / will be deducted from the final amount you pay the day of your first service. At the end of your service, if you choose to re-book your next appointment with me before you leave, then you will not need to pay another deposit. If you don’t rebook before you leave and decide to book with me again later, you will be asked for a deposit to secure your appointment. • Be sure to book every service you’re wanting. If you want nail art, for example, it’s very important for timing that you add that to your service. Read the service description carefully before selecting it. • If you have nail inspiration please send to me prior to your appointment, as this helps me to prepare! This is especially important if you are booking Level 5 Nail Art or a Character Set. • Your nails are guaranteed for 7 days. Within those 7 days after your appointment, if there are any breaks or pop-offs, I will repair the nails or fix them free of charge. After those 7 days, there will be a charge associated with the repair. If you are coming in for a fill and have any missing nails, please add Repairs to your service when booking. • All infills must be scheduled within 4 weeks. If you are outside of this time, you must book a new set + removal. If this is not booked and you’re over 4 weeks, nail art may be cut short as I will have to prioritize the additional structure work/new set. • I do not offer fills on foreign product. If you are a new client and have foreign product on your nails, you need to book your desired service + removal so that time is allotted for removal of the old product first. • Please have a general idea of what you’d like before coming to your appointment. I can certainly provide ideas/collaborate with you to some degree, but I need to at least have a baseline/starting point. • If you have any question while booking, or are unsure about anything, please feel free to message me so we can get you booked correctly.
